NOTICE TO ALL TOWN RESIDENTS:

Garbage: The Town will pickup 4 bags of garbage from each residence per week. If you have extra garbage, the Town will haul it away for $2 a bag (tags can be purchased at the town office). Please make sure your garbage is in an animal proof container so that it is not spread around. Pickup days are every Monday for all residences and every Thursday for town businesses.

Compost: Starting in April, Public Works will be pleased to pick up your compost material at no additional charge. Compost materials must be bagged in clear bags which can be purchased at the Stavely Grocery Store. The compost site will also be open on Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for residents who wish to haul their own. The Town will also pick up branches that are bundled in 4' lengths. The Compost Site will be open one week in the spring and one week in the fall for general cleanup. Check the local newsletter for dates.

Unsightly Town Lots: It has been Council's policy to have unsightly lots cleaned up. Council takes semi-annual tours of the neighbourhood and sends out letters regarding the lots that do not comply with our Untidy & Unsightly Bylaw. The Bylaw states there should be no unlicensed vehicles stored on your lot. Old vehicles are a danger to younger children. If they get hurt, you could be liable in a lawsuit. Council is looking at changing the bylaw to include fines.

We would like to thank all the residents in Town who keep their lots neat and tidy. Clean lots are an economic plus for the Town, the neighbourhood and yourself!
