Please note the following:


Headstones at the Stavely Cemeteries must meet the following specifications:


Headstones can be either Flat-mount or Upright.


If Flat-mount, the top surface of the headstone must be level with the ground so that a mower can pass over the headstone without contact with the blades of the mower.


If Upright, the headstone must have a foundation placed under it that extends beyond the outermost portion of the headstone by a minimum of 150mm on all sides.  The top of the foundation must be level with the ground so that a mower can pass over the foundation without contact with the blades of the mower.  The foundation can be either concrete or granite and must be a minimum of 50mm thick.
